This is a bit of a sad story, with
what I think, a happy ending. I bought a number of authentic Czechoslovakian glass portraits from a very respectable antique dealer who had found them in Prague. The fascinating thing is that he told me that they were found individually wrapped in a wooden box that had been bricked-in beneath the steps and behind the fireplace of a home in Warsaw. Found along with these extremely detailed Bohemian glass portraits from the late 1800's were family heirlooms including buttons, coins, silverware, and jewelry. It seems that these lovely Czech ladies have been waiting for their freedom since the German invasion in 1939. Now it's time for them to see the world. The highlight of a hand-crocheted heavy gauge Sterling Silver Dot Necklace, each un-named lady is set on sterling silver prongs. Necklace measures 17 1/2". Pendant measures 1 1/8" from top to bottom. Limited edition.
