I'm not sure if I was in Soho, or
Tribeca, but I remember seeing this woman wearing a diamond tennis
bracelet and about 3, or 4 other bracelets all stacked together on her
wrist. I loved the 'pop' of the diamonds combined with the color
that she wore with it. So I started playing. Eventually coming
up with the Gatsby style of bracelet, which to me, looked like the
colorful 'cuffs' worn in the 1920's by flappers. This photo is from October of 1999, however, the first Gatsby bracelets were really created a few years before that. If I can find one in my stacks of old photos I'll post it in the future. Note that we didn't even have the official "on u" tags then... |
